Teacher Workshops

Mount Pleasant Waterworks annually participates in the Teacher's Environmental Education Institute (TEEI) sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, the Medical University of South Carolina's Environmental Biosciences Program and South Carolina State University. The workshop is designed to increase awareness and understanding of environmental issues at all grade levels.

Additionally, the Commission regularly participates or hosts teacher workshops in specific areas such as water and wastewater treatment processes, water quality analysis and sampling in terms of contamination and risks, point and non-point source pollution, laws governing the pollution of drinking water and the roles and responsibility of a utility.

For information on how you or your organization can set up a workshop, please contact MPW's Director of Communications Nicole Frampton, email or phone 843-388-1152.
